Earth Day Contest-Register by March 27

E&E is once again hosting a competition for schools in concert with the 2009 Buffalo Niagara Earth Day Initiative (which is about improving our regionwide transportation choices for a single day—details at www.buffaloearthday.com).

Web 2.0 Tool of the Month: SURVEYGIZMO

As we dive further into 21st century school reform, student involvement in the learning process has become a central theme. Using online, Web 2.0 applications, educators can develop opportunities for learners to actively demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. Online surveys and polls are just one example of how educators are now able to orchestrate a variety of assessments that provide authentic data about student interest, need and progress.

Directions for ADDING AN EVENT

Do you have an upcoming event that you would like to share with the rest of the community? Simply use the 'Events' feature to upload information about your event. Here are the directions:

1) On the main page, click on the ‘Add an Event’ link under the Events section.


2) Enter in information about your event in the form provided. IMPORTANT - you must upload a picture in order to save your event. Simple clipart will work just fine for this application.


3) Click 'Save' and you are finished! Your event will appear on the main page of this ning. Community members will be able to get information about your event, as well as register using the RSVP feature on the page.
